schedule can be made to accommodate group needs, such as age, travel
time, other group activities, etc.

Group Arrival and Program Introduction.
Administrative matters are taken care of and can not be completed
until all group participants arrive. So please have all participants
arrive as soon as they can so as not to delay the group from
going aboard. Arrangements can be made for late arrivals. |

Salute Aboard. |

Participants raise their organization's
flag, which will fly over the ship until they lower the flag
upon departure at the end of the program |
| 7:00pm / 1900 hours |
Stow sleep gear in the sleeping quarters
and safety meeting. |
| 7:30pm / 1930 hours |
Tour ship's interior for about 1 1/2 hours
with a knowledgeable and experienced docent. Time can be adjusted
for different age groups and weather conditions. |
| 9:00pm / 2100 hours |
Snack-movie break. Group provides their
own drinks and snacks but not popcorn or raisins.. Water is
available aboard. |
| 9:30pm / 2130 hours |
Scavenger hunt in which youth find the answers
to Battleship Texas questions. The winner receives the ship's
CD and a set of ship's July 1944 drawings at the next day's
graduation. |
| 10:00pm / 2200 hours |
Ready for bed. |
| 10:30pm / 2230 hours |
Taps is sounded
— Adults conduct a rotating safety watch until morning
reveille. Shorter hours if more adults are present. |
| Day 2 |
6:30am / 0630 hours

Reveille is sounded
— Reveille, Head Call, stow bedding and belongings in
sleeping quarters. |
| 7:00am / 0700 hours |
Mess —
Breakfast is provided (cereal, milk, orange juice, muffins,
bananas, coffee for adults), clean up breakfast location and
go over the activity for the day. |

Main deck free time — time and weather
permitting. |

Muster at stern (and possibly bow) to raise
the American (stern) and a bow flag, to be done by participants
